This year’s AGM will be rather different. We will be electing a new Chair and committee members and reviewing what has happened over the last year.
However, most of our time will be devoted to launching an exciting initiative that will give you a full opportunity to help shape how we in Poundbury develop as a community. We want to ensure that we maximise the opportunities that come with over 4,000 residents and 250 businesses living alongside each other.
Up to now our discussions have been dominated by issues to do with buildings and infrastructure; this is much more about how we connect, keep informed, share common interests to build a thriving and healthy community.
A small community development working group has been working on this initiative and they want to present their ideas and engage you in an initial discussion of the possibilities. We want this to be a lively and creative evening and the beginning of a process that will unfold over the next few months. We hope that you will enjoy the evening and want to get involved in shaping your Poundbury.
So we will get the routine business done as swiftly and efficiently as possible to leave plenty of time for The Big Conversation to start.
My tenure as Chair comes to an end at this AGM so we are inviting nominations for a new Chair. There is also a vacancy for another committee member who we hope will be able to fill the vacant post of Secretary.
Candidates must be PRA members and be nominated by two other PRA members. Candidates must have given their consent to stand.

Please note that any resident of Poundbury may attend the meeting but only registered members may vote – one vote per membership household. Please remember to bring your PRA Membership Card.
