Dorset Council is publicising Carers Week together with Carer Support Dorset. There are a number of events taking place, such as a coffee afternoon in Portland, Cream tea in Blandford and a crafts session in Weymouth.
The idea is to raise awareness of caring and highlight the challenges that unpaid carers face. Carers make a valuable contribution to our communities, and throughout the week organisations supporting carers will be heading out into the community to find hidden carers and raise awareness of available local support, together with a programme of events for carers to get involved with.
