Cycling Without Age Dorchester (based on Poundbury). A part of CWA WeymouthWe are a totally volunteer led charity that offers free Trishaw rides to people of all ages with limited mobility, those who feel isolated or just need to feel the “Wind in their hair.” We are a welcoming and fun team of all ages with no minimum time commitment.
Discover and ConnectOur activities include guest speakers/artists; craft; talks, quizzes, games, raffle and refreshments.

We have two – three outings a year and a Christmas lunch
Dorchester Camera ClubDorchester Camera Club meets at the Brownsword Hall in Pummery Square on Mondays, 7pm to 10pm, September to June, with a monthly meeting via Zoom (check website for dates). The club runs a varied programme which aims to cover all interests during the season. New members welcome, whether beginner or experienced, with the first three meetings free for prospective members.
Dorchester Film SocietyDorchester Film Society has been showing the best of world cinema since 1958. Every season we aim to show a variety of interesting and highly acclaimed contemporary films that would not normally be screened in local commercial cinemas. Our season starts in September and runs until the following March. We screen all films at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester.
Dorchester Poverty ActionDPA is a local charity (previously known as DPAG) and was set up in 1990 by Churches Together in Dorchester at a time when most people had no idea that there was real poverty in this apparently prosperous area. For those suffering such hidden financial hardship, isolation creates an added burden.
Dorchester StrollersA health walk is a free, short and regular guided walk that lasts between ten to ninety minutes for people of all abilities, especially for those who would like to get more active.
Flintcombe Investment ClubEstablished since 2006 with members both in, around and beyond Dorchester. We meet monthly to discuss how best to invest our monthly contributions, enjoying both modest success and abject failure in roughly equal measure. While the main object is to make a modest profit we have learned many lessons over the years and greatly enjoyed the process.
Poundbury Golf SocietyPlay on different courses around Dorset. The Society is open to anyone who lives or works in Poundbury or the surrounding area.
Poundbury LadiesWe are a very friendly group of ladies. Since starting the Poundbury Ladies group in November 2000, we meet at Poundbury’s Brownsword Hall every month, except the holiday month of August. We currently have around seventy members and keep growing!
Poundbury Phase 1 Neighbourhood WatchNeighbourhood Watch (NHW) – Poundbury has a very active community that comes together to create a safer and caring environment . Our aim is to bring neighbours together to create a strong friendly active community where crime and antisocial behaviour are less likely to happen. NHW is about helping to ensure that fewer people feel afraid, vulnerable or isolated .
Poundbury Pot Luck Supper ClubPot Luck Suppers at the Brownsword Hall. We hold 4 themed suppers per year where attendees bring a dish enough for 8 servings, mains, vegetables/salads or a dessert. This is a great way to meet new and old friends from the community.

Poundbury Rotary ClubThe club is part of a global membership of 1.4 million people in 40,000 clubs in 200 countries. Our community work extends from helping with local projects, to projects in such places such as Nepal. In addition clubs world wide provide disaster relief and such activities as polio eradication from the planet. ,
Poundbury WIPoundbury Wi is part of the National Federation of WI's and belongs to the Dorset Federation.
