1. Purpose

• This policy outlines the Community Association of Poundbury's (CAoP)commitment to environmental  sustainability and its approach to minimising environmental impact.

2. Scope

• This policy applies to activities of the CAoP and individuals involved in these activities.

3. Policy Statement

• The CAoP aims to promote projects that raise community awareness of sustainability matters.

4. Key Areas of Focus

• Sustainable travel: highlighting public transport, walking and cycling facilities

• Biodiversity protection: highlighting the work of initiatives such as People Need Nature

• Waste reduction and recycling: highlighting local resources and facilities

5. Education and Awareness

• The CAoP will provide environmental awareness information to members and volunteers as necessary

• It will promote environmental sustainability to association members and the wider community via specific events and initiatives, as necessary

6. Reporting

• The CAoP will report on its environmental initiatives and achievements in its annual report

7. Review

• This policy will be reviewed biennually and updated as necessary
