Better Transport for Dorchester
The Dorchester Transport Action Group has reformed and is holding its first public meeting on Wednesday 15th June 2022 in the Magistrates room of the Corn Exchange, Dorchester DT1 1HF. The meeting will run from 19.00-21.00 with the bar available from 18.30. They welcome anyone from Dorchester and the surrounding area who is interested in sustainable transport in Dorchester to attend.
Purpose: The meeting is intended to let residents know about the work of the Transport Action group and to consult with residents on the the main transport issues affecting people living in and around Dorchester.
The meeting will begin with a (very short) AGM to formally start the new organisation, followed by an interactive session where will be discussing many of the transport issues facing Dorchester now and in the future. They are particularly interested in views on sustainable transport provision to help those without access to a car and to make low carbon alternatives to car use more attractive.
If you are concerned about any transport issues in Dorchester – rail, buses, electric cars, e-scooters, cycling, walking, riding – or just want to know more about how transport may change over the coming years as we move towards a net-zero future, you are encouraged to go along to this meeting.
