Good news from South Street, Dorchester: Jordan & Faber Ltd, the private contractors working at the site, have just provided the following update:
"We will be adjusting the hoardings on Friday 11 April to allow access to Scrivens, access through Hardye Arcade, and a walkway approx. 1.8m wide against Specsavers and Amplifon so that pedestrians can access from one side of South Street to the other.
"The companies carrying out related works outside of our direct control are aware, and they are targeting reinstatement before 11 April. We are in contact with them and will continue to liaise to ensure this happens."
