Highlights from the last PRA AGM and Exciting Updates for Poundbury!

We're writing to share the minutes from the recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Poundbury Residents Association (PRA). This milestone meeting marked another step forward in our community's evolution and commitment to fostering inclusivity and engagement.

Key Highlights from the AGM:

·       Community Progress: The meeting celebrated the achievements of the past year, including the launch of the new LovePoundbury Virtual Community Hub, enhanced communication channels, and successful events like Poundbury Pooches and Carols in the Engine Room.

·       Transition to the CAoP: A significant outcome was the formal vote to establish the Community Association of Poundbury (CAoP) as a Community Interest Company (CIC) to succeed the PRA. The new entity will ensure robust legal protections, enhanced fundraising opportunities, and a clear focus on community benefit.

·       Strategic Vision: The CAoP will build on the success of the PRA, with priorities set around community engagement, inclusive activities, and fostering meaningful connections across Poundbury.

·       Volunteer Opportunities: The meeting also saw a wonderful response from attendees to volunteer for initiatives such as events, Poundbury Good Things, community development, and road safety.
