The Poundbury Nature for Wellbeing project is now open for referrals. A variety of nature-based activities have been created to help local residents who would benefit from help with their mental health and wellbeing.
Nature-based activities including looking after Poundbury’s Wildflower Meadows, Art (visual arts, singing, poetry and nature photography) in nature; and gentle exercise with mindfulness in nature. Activities will begin in November and run through to next August.
All activities are free and take place on The Great Field (or in PiPs if wet).
Anyone wanting to participate can be referred via a number of different routes, but mainly through the Mid-Dorset group of GP practices (including all Poundbury and Dorchester surgeries). Ask for your GP practice Social Prescriber.
