The automated traffic speed survey near Damers First School has been completed. The data will now be downloaded and analysed by the Highways Division of Dorset Council. The objective of the survey is to see if additional traffic calming measures are required on Peverell Avenue East to support a 20mph speed limit for Poundbury.
The poster image is from Lancashire County Council – who are implementing 20mph speed limits on the roads around 200 of their schools. It is a reminder of why reducing the speed limit not just near schools but on all streets with pedestrians is so important if we want to allow our children to walk.
